13. Rhine-Wine Symposium: 18.-19. Juni 2018, Fasanenschlössle Karlsruhe

Rhein-Wein 2018
The Rhine-Wine Symposium 2018 is dedicated to dialogue. The key to control grape diseases is in efficient communication.

Time: Monday 18. June 2018 - Tuesday 19. June 2018

Venue: Fasanenschlössle Karlsruhe. How to find it.

Programme: This Rhine-Wine Symposium is shaped by the Interreg Upper Rhine Project Vitifutur. The slogan  "Dialogue-Disease" is to be understood in a double meaning: Outbreak of disease in viticulture is often caused by perturbed chemical dialogue between grape and microorganisms (of particular relevance for the problematic Esca disease). Are we able to improve this dialogue in a way that we can keep plants healthy even at reduced chemical plant protection? This can only succeed, when science and application keep a tight dialogue. Therefore, this symposium also foresees formats targeted to the interested public.

Language: The language of science is English, the language for the dialogue with the wine industry and the general public is German or French.

Fee: regular 30 €, reduced (students, Ph.D. students) 15 €. This includes lunch Monday and coffee breaks and drinks on both days.
