What we offer for EUCOR Plant Science students

Our Master curriculum is composed of the following elements:

  • Research Modules: these are organised in blocks of five weeks with a lecture and supervised team projects, where one can learn and practice certain methods and concepts. You can choose here from a menu, which can be found here. You can select your preferences here. The block periods are given here.
  • Project Modules: these are agreed with a lab of choice, also in blocks of five weeks with a mentored individual research project. The offers can be found here. Time is agreed individually.
  • Seminars: these run on a weekly base, where one has to present a topic based on original literature. The offers can be found here.
  • Interdisciplinary Seminars: these run on a weekly base and try to connect different disciplines of biology and beyond. There exist three versions: Ethics and Theory of Science . Interdisciplinary Seminars . Forum Critical Interdisciplinarity .
  • Great Excursion: this is in blocks of two to three weeks in three sites (Helgoland, Lago di Garda, Giglio) and aims to get a comprehensive understanding of an ecosystem. Access is limited here, so EUCOR students can only participate, if places are available. more...
  • Master Thesis: this is done individually in a lab of choice, duration is usually 6 months, prolongable up to 9 months. However, the maximal duration depends on the regulations of your home university.
