Sommerschule 2019: LEGACY - Concepts of Inheritance

Content: Inheritance is the organic connection of preservation and innovation. In lectures, also with invited speakers, joint discussions and group work we will try to elucidate concepts of inheritance, to understand their origin, also in the historical context, and to work out open questions and possibly even to design new ideas for the concept of inheritance. The topic not only comprises biology and historical sciences, but is also of strong impact for society. Ultimately, it is the topic of identity.

Language: depending on the auditory English or German.
